Matt Borghi “Amidst the Drifting Symmetry”

From Vague Terrain Audio Editions 01

« Matt Borghi is an East Lansing, Michigan-based music composer, singer/songwriter, poet, philosopher and writer.  Inspired by the work of Claude Debussy, Ralph Vaughan-Williams, Erik Satie, and Brian Eno and working with sound textures, field recordings and song structures, Matt’s sound is that place where subtlety, nuance, and texture intersect to create post-industrial soundscapes and contemplative micro-symphonies that are rich in emotion and narrative. Matt works to create sonic impressions that are easy to listen to privately or in the open air with the compliment of the ambient sounds of one’s space.  — Artist Bio »

Michael Teager – Saxophones

The title of this work is taken from Matt Borghi’s poem of the same name, Amidst the Drifting Symmetry:

« Focusing on the aural art genres that we have featured from the very start of our publication, VT Audio Editions invites artists to create a longer piece of audio/music content between 20 and 60 minutes in length.  These submissions could be a composed work, a live studio session or a concert recording.  Each Audio Edition will include a statement and biographic information on the participating artist.  — Vague Terrain »
